Dune Restoration

The sand dunes at Hanlan’s Point on Toronto Island provide a critical habitat for a diverse range of species. Due to the fragile nature of dunes, a restoration plan was put into place by the city to protect this environmentally significant area. 

Role in this project: photographer, videographer, video producer, and editor

Since 2008, the City of Toronto has partnered with Fleming College Ecosystem Management program to restore the dunes by installing protective fences, planting native trees, and plants and removing invasive species.
